John E. Price
Son of T.J. Price, who together with his father, and brother-in-law Charles C. Griswold platted and developed “Arlington Place,” the predecessor to the present community of Marble Cliff. Prior to his fathers death in 1892, he ran the stone quarry which he subsequently sold to Sylvio Casparis and focused his efforts on the development of the 60 plus acres comprising “Arlington Place.” He died in 1914. The photo is from the November 17, 1901 “Columbus Sunday Press” article describing the incorporation of the Hamlet of Marble Cliff.
