It was described in the circa 1895 book, Handsome Homes of Columbus, as a “perfect paradise in Arlington surrounded by choice fruit trees and grape vines.” Built 2 years earlier in 1893, by Sylvio Casparis in what was then known as “Arlington Place”, this home maintains its almost lodge-like interior.
The hardwood floors and oak paneling in the central hall have been recently restored. The wood in the dining room has the original grain-painted surface.
It has served as home to three families and served as a school, parish center, and convent during its 108 year history.
