Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Historical Society

Records indicate that the above house (as shown in the book Handsome Homes in Columbus), built in 1895, burned down in 1899. A 1900 Columbus Dispatch article attributes the design of the new house on the site to Yost and Packard. "Feb 11, p 12: Real Estate: "Yost and Packard have plans for the Casparis residence at Arlington on the site of one recently destroyed by fire. It will be of the English country style of stone, fireproof with tile roof." The house was completed in 1902.
